RCS Home Grown Series of Chamber Music Concerts:

Red Cedar Symphony’s Home Grown Series features local music groups with preference to member(s) who frequently perform with the Red Cedar Symphony. Featured groups are provided with a performance venue, publicity, and programs for the event. Since the Red Cedar Symphony is a volunteer orchestra, the small musical groups are asked to perform on a volunteer basis. The artistic committee will make all final programming decisions.

2018 Concerto Competition:

The Red Cedar Symphony Biennial Concerto Competition will take place Saturday, January 20th, 2018, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake.

There will be a high school division, undergraduate division, and post-undergraduate division. Instrumentalists should prepare one movement of a standard concerto and vocalists one standard art song or aria. Applications will be available in the fall of 2017 and are due by December 15th, 2017.

Competition winner(s) will perform at the 2018 Spring Concerts: Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Auugustana Luthern Church in Cumberland, WI at 7:00 pm and Sunday, March 25 at Bethany Luthern Church in Rice Lake, WI at 4:00 pm.

New Policy! Youth may attend Red Cedar Symphony Concerts free!

The Red Cedar Symphony has instituted a new program in which any youth under the age of 21 may attend our concerts at no admission charge.
